Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon

Mr Chester will first take a detailed history from you to ascertain the problem(s) you have and the impact on your life. He will ask specific questions will may affect the operation that you have. Mr Chester will also review your medical history with you to check that you are medically fit for the chosen procedure. He will then examine you with a female chaperone present. Once the examination is complete, he will then run through the options with you and give his opinion as to whether you are a suitable candidate for surgery. Mr Chester’s number one priority is patient safety.

For some patients the treatment plan is straightforward but for others there can be a number of different options that need to be considered. Mr Chester frequently sees patients in clinic more than once to allow the patients to make up their mind and have the opportunity to ask questions. To facilitate this process, Mr Chester only charges for one consultation before surgery.

Mr Chester believes in keeping his patients as informed as possible. He has a selection of leaflets and documents to supplement the consultation.

How much do consultations cost?

The cost of a consultation for cosmetic procedures and other self-pay consultations is £200. A fee schedule will be given to you to inform you of subsequent costs for surgery/treatment and future consultations. Normally for cosmetic surgery procedures, there are no further consultation charges for the first 6 months.

For non-cosmetic consultations with patients who are insured the costs vary according to the insurer.

“Cosmetic surgery is a journey but not a conveyor belt! Patients should not feel pressurised. Time should be taken to learn what the patient wants and to explain what each treatment option entails”.
