Mr. Darren Chester
Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon
Mr. Chester is an NHS-accredited plastic surgeon and a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery (Number 4196752).He qualified as a doctor from the University of Birmingham with degrees in Medicine and Surgery in 1995. He was awarded Honours in Pharmacology. He first started working in plastic surgery in 1997 and became a consultant plastic surgeon at the internationally renowned Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (formerly Selly Oak Hospital) in 2007. He has received training in all aspects of plastic and cosmetic surgery in the West Midlands. He has completed a year of full-time research within the field of plastic surgery and was awarded the degree of Master of Philosophy by the University of Birmingham. He was awarded the coveted McGregor Medal for his outstanding performance in the national plastic surgery examination (FRCSPlast).
In addition to his plastic surgery practice at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Mr Chester also provides the plastic surgery service for Worcestershire (Kidderminster Hospital and Worcestershire Royal Hospital).
